CENTER FOR POSITIVE CHANGES
Center for Positive Changes (CFPC) is committed to positively impacting one resident at a time. We are seeking an Associate Level Therapist to join our team who has demonstrated high ethical standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of others. The Therapist oversees the clinical delivery of all services for each resident served by the Mental Health Program. Therapist coordinates 24-hour on call accessibility with the HOS and other staff. Therapist is responsible for, but not limited to, fostering a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to reduce crisis situations and improve the residents functioning. This climate shall provide residents with the highest practical level of treatment and coordination of care.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Two years experience in mental health programs, preferably with children.
AND
- Management/administrative/supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:
Registered as Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist in active status with State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences or California Board of Psychology.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS
Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with seriously emotionally disturbed children, other staff, physicians, and the public.
Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment.
Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of community services and county agencies.
