SVC-CAMFT Free Peer Consultation Group Description and Guidelines

We are excited to offer monthly peer consultation meetings for all chapter members (including trainees, associates, and licensed therapists) to connect! These meetings will be held online with Zoom, on a designated Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Please attend the session prepared to discuss a specific case, request feedback regarding your practice or therapeutic work and/or lend support to others. This will be a collaborative process!

Below are some important guidelines to help keep this group feeling safe and comfortable for everyone. We are also open to additional suggestions.

• Please arrive on time. After introductions, the group will begin and new arrivals will not be able to enter the group. This is to prevent interruptions and assist with the flow of the group.
  
• The information discussed within this group must remain confidential. Please set yourself up in a private setting so others will not be able to listen in on the discussion.
• Please be sensitive and respectful of others and their experiences, even if you may not agree with them.
• Please remember online etiquette, muting oneself when not talking and keeping your video on to deepen the connection with other members.
• The host will facilitate the flow of members sharing and tracking timeframes.

Additional Considerations:

• SVC-CAMFT is not responsible and will not be held liable for the recommendations or advice offered by the group members.
• You may come with ethical or legal questions but will also be referred to CAMFT’s legal team hotline. This group is not a replacement for CAMFT’s legal team. Also, this meeting is not for reporting ethical violations.
• No CE’s will be provided.
