Join us for a Clinical Skills Workshop to enhance your therapeutic techniques and boost your confidence in the therapy room. This interactive workshop will focus on building foundational skills, exploring interventions, and engaging in hands-on practice through role-plays and discussions. Whether you're a student, trainee, or associate, this workshop offers a supportive space to refine your clinical approach and connect with fellow pre-licensed mental health professionals.
This interactive session will enhance your confidence and competence in offering inclusive, gender-affirming care. It is designed for trainees and early-career clinicians looking to deepen their understanding of working with LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Presenter: Joe Borders, LMFT has been providing therapy and counseling services to the greater Sacramento area since 2009 and established a private practice in Roseville, California, after becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2014. With experience and specialties across a wide range of mental health concerns (see below), [Name] often shares that their true specialty lies in working with individuals who are used to being judged or misunderstood. Known for creating a nonjudgmental and supportive space, Joe is passionate about working with people who feel “othered” and are seeking an ally. This includes teens and individuals who identify as weird, geeky, quirky, queer, anxious, LGBTQ+, gender diverse, kinky, polyamorous, and more.
Cost: FREE for chapter members, $5 for non-members.
If you are licensed, please pass this on to your associates or any pre-licensed individual in your community.
