I am grateful and passionate about working in mental health. There is so much more we know today about the long-term affects of trauma and stress on the brain. Even better, we know the incredible healing affects from finding a safe place to be understood and seen without the fear of judgment. There is a lot in life to process, anxiety, grief, depression, as well as physical and emotional pain. Whatever has brought you to this website seeking a therapist, let me help you formulate a plan for a successful path towards healing. I fully believe in meeting the client where they are and in adapting to them in ways that are comfortable and beneficial.
I come from a military background and have worked with veterans for many years dealing with significant trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I have found for myself an incredible benefit in scientifically proven mindfulness tools such as meditation, so you won’t be surprise if I suggest it to you. There are a lot of misperceptions about meditation and therapy alike. This is why I went back to school, so I could study for myself the science of healing. It has given me a lot of hope that everyone can benefit from these tools.
